St. Anne’s has been honored this year as one of the churches to be a part of the Running of the Roses for 2015.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Silver Rose – One Rose, One Life Program

The Leo Council 716 Knights of Columbus invites all to participate in the running of the Silver Rose Program at St. Anne’s Church on August 1, 2015. One of five roses will be on display during the day from 1 PM and a Prayer Service will be conducted at 7 PM dedicating participants to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
This is part of a custom started by the Knights in 1960. There will be five roses displayed and carried throughout the United States and joined at Monterey, Mexico on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12 2015.
The Silver Rose Commemorates the miracle when St. Juan Diego was instructed by Our Lady to gather Roses and deliver them to his bishop and tell him a temple in her honor should be built.  He did so, and when he gave the roses to the bishop, Our Lady’s image was imprinted on his cloak.
